Tips of maintaining a healthy Looking Skin
Your skin can easily show how old you are. For instance, old people tend to have wrinkled face and skin, which is a common characteristic. Here are some tips which will help you in achieving a healthy looking skin.
Regular cleaning of your face is the first remedy. There is a lot of dust and other dirt particles that collect on your face as you pursue your daily activities. This dirt can clog your skin pores thus affecting the respiratory processes of the skin like waste elimination and air exchange. Before you go to sleep, you should clean your face by washing it and dry it using a soft cloth. Therefore, you need to wash your face more than once in a day; in the morning, before going to bed, whenever you sweat, as well as after application of facial makeup. You should use detergents that match with your skin in the cleaning process. For example, people with dry skin should try using moisturized soaps whereas those with oily skins should use soap that is free from additives. For oily skins, hemp skin care can be used as a remedy. You shouldn’t overdo the face scrubbing whether your skin is oily or dry because it has adverse effects on the skin.
Another tip is to exfoliate your skin which is quite different from face scrubbing. Exfoliation entails removal of dead skin skills to facilitate the growth of new skin cells. With the new cells on your skin, you will have a younger and healthy look, which everyone will desire. Your skin normally sheds off these dead cells after every two weeks, but you can decide to do it more often. At home, you can use micro scrubbers to carry out exfoliation, or you can visit a beauty spa. You should exfoliate your dry skin only once in a week, and your oily skin at most three times in a week. However, if you do exfoliation too much, your skin may redden and irritate as well.
Lastly, you are supposed to get rid of all the bad habits that may harm your skin such as smoking. Too much smoking will indirectly lead to wrinkles on the face and a rough skin. The nicotine destroys the collagen fibers and other elastics on the face which in turn causes wrinkles. You should protect your skin from any injuries and exposure to dangerous radio waves. While a lot of people like spending most of their time to bask on the sun during hot summers, they fail to reckon the dangers of that exposure to their skins. The rays will burn the skin and destroy the skin cells. It is believed that ultraviolet rays are responsible for causing skin cancer, something most people dread.
